Awards & Industry Recognition
BIOVIT's natural vitamin and mineral innovation is being recognised across the food and drink industry - from ingredient technology to business growth. See the awards, shortlists, and programmes BIOVIT has been part of.

IFE Manufacturing Ingredients Awards 2026
Circular Vitamin C, BIOVIT's Innovate UK-funded project recovering natural Vitamin C from apple pomace, was named Winner of the IFE Ingredients Awards 2026, taking both the Enabling Technologies for Ingredients award and the overall Innovation of the Year prize.
The win recognises a project that turns a waste stream long sent to landfill into a clean-label, naturally derived ingredient - replacing synthetic, petrochemical-derived Vitamin C with a circular alternative produced right here in Wales.
Delivered with Swansea University's Natural Products BioHUB, the project is one of the clearest examples yet of BIOVIT's mission in action: proving that natural, sustainably sourced nutrition can outperform synthetic alternatives, not just match them.

FoodTech 500
BIOVIT was selected among Forward Fooding's FoodTech 500 - a global ranking of the world's most innovative AgriFoodTech startups and scaleups.
Selection puts BIOVIT alongside a global cohort drawn from over 1,200 applicants across 87 countries, recognised for the strength of its natural vitamin and mineral ingredient technology and its potential to reshape how food and drink brands fortify their products.
It's recognition that BIOVIT's approach - sourcing exclusively from plants, algae, and fungi, backed by UK Government R&D funding - is being noticed well beyond the UK market, at a moment when the AgriFoodTech sector is being watched closely for genuine, scalable innovation.

UK Startup Awards
BIOVIT was named a finalist for UK Startup of the Year at the UK Startup Awards 2026, the national final recognising the best early-stage businesses in the UK.
Reaching the national final puts BIOVIT among a small group of standout businesses selected from across ten UK nations and regions, recognised for building a genuinely new category of ingredient supply rather than competing on price within an existing one.
For a company built on sourcing natural vitamins and minerals exclusively from plants, algae, and fungi, the finalist place reflects real momentum: proof that BIOVIT's natural-first approach is resonating not just with the brands it supplies, but with the wider UK business community watching where food innovation is headed next.

Future of Food
BIOVIT's Circular Micronutrient Recovery project, developed with Swansea University and backed by the Welsh Government, was commended by Future of Food.
The project recovers Iodine, Copper, Iron, and Selenium from Welsh waste streams - seaweed and kelp, spent coffee grounds, and rapeseed cake - turning by-products that would otherwise go to waste into natural, plant-derived micronutrient ingredients.
The commendation recognises it as a genuine complement to BIOVIT's Circular Vitamin C work: proof that the same circular approach can extend well beyond a single feedstock or nutrient, and that Wales has the research base and raw material streams to support a much broader natural nutrient recovery industry.
