About BIOVIT

Our Story

BIOVIT was born out of frustration with the food industry.

Ky Wright founded Human Food, a meal replacement brand, and discovered that he couldn’t get organic certification because the vitamins and minerals available were all synthetically produced.

That’s when he saw the gap: the food and drink industry needed a dedicated supplier of natural, organic vitamins and minerals.

He founded BIOVIT to fill it.

A specialist supplier, end to end

Supply

Today, BIOVIT supplies a full range of natural vitamins, minerals, and premix blends to food, drink, and supplement brands across the UK and beyond.

Manufacturing is handled in partnership with Plant-Ex Ingredients in Bristol, giving customers the reliability and food-safety standards of an established UK supply chain.

Brands like Cheerful Buddha, Veloforte, Purition, and Love Mushrooms work with us as a single specialist supplier - combining ingredient supply, premix blending, and a full consultancy service from formulation through to launch.

“BIOVIT is on a mission to improve the health of people and the planet through the use of natural vitamins and minerals.”

Built on real science

Research

Supplying natural vitamins and minerals at scale only works if the science stands up. That's why research has been part of BIOVIT from the start.

Our clinical partnership with Professor Richard Bracken at Swansea University has proven the bioavailability of our natural vitamins and minerals — work that's been co-funded through £2.7m of UKRI and Innovate UK investment under the Better Food For All programme.

It sits inside a wider research network: independent analytical labs including RSSL, Eurofins and Campden BRI; consumer research with Vypr; and ongoing collaboration with academics across nutrition, metabolism and food science.

The science isn't an add-on - it's the foundation everything we supply is built on.
