Built Together From Day One
BIOVIT and Cheerful Buddha didn't just supply ingredients for this product - they built it together.
The two teams spent time at a UK formulation house, working through nutritional profile ideas and testing what was possible with natural fortification in a carbonated, UHT-processed format.
The result was the UK's first naturally fortified functional mushroom drink - available in three flavours, combining Lion's Mane with BIOVIT's natural Vitamin D3, B12, and Iron.

Fortifying a Sparkling Drink Is the Hardest Test
Fortifying a sparkling drink is one of the most technically demanding applications for any vitamin ingredient. The product has to survive UHT processing (ultra-high temperature treatment), maintain nutrient stability in a carbonated, acidic liquid environment, and hit label-claim compliance across a 12-month shelf life.

For most brands, that means defaulting to synthetic vitamins because they're familiar and the stability data is readily available. Cheerful Buddha wanted to prove there was another way.

Natural Vitamins Through UHT
BIOVIT worked alongside Cheerful Buddha through the full formulation process, providing technical input on nutrient stability, dosing, and label-claim compliance for UHT conditions.
The blend of D3, B12, and Iron was selected to deliver meaningful EFSA health claims across energy, immunity, and cognitive function - claims that align directly with the Lion's Mane mushroom positioning.
The natural vitamins withstood UHT processing and maintained label-claim compliance across the full 12-month shelf life - demonstrating that natural fortification is achievable even in the most demanding liquid formats.
